Gori Vatra plot
Tragicomedy about life after the war in Bosnia. That it is not all peace and quiet in the Bosnian town of Tešanj is already apparent in the opening scene. Yet the firefighters do their exercises, and the honest, hard-working inhabitants seem to live together in harmony. Behind the pretense hides another Tešanj; Serbian ex-residents who want to return are verbally abused on the street, booby traps still claim victims, and by no means all the dead have been found. The town is actually run by a criminal who is involved in cigarette, drink and people smuggling. He is gladly helped by the police chief. When the news comes that President Clinton will come to Tešanj to become the patron of the town, the chaos breaks out. All hookers, illegal goods and accounts must be eliminated as soon as possible, and the Serbian and Bosnian fire brigades must work together.
