A very funny movie. This is humor with a capital H. The film has even surpassed A Fish Called Wanda which is a great achievement in itself. You have to like dry absurd humor to like this movie. Cline plays his best humorous role here. Cleese and Palin are as usual. I've seen the film about 5 times now and it's still very enjoyable. Top entertainment!

A nice no-nonsense farce. I can't say whether the film is really less than A Fish Called Wanda, because it's been a while since I saw that film. What I can say is the fact that Cleese, Kline and Curtis act well and the film never bores. The problem is that the film also never really transcends that very farcical character and constantly remains mainly entertaining, but nowhere becomes really brilliant.

Does it hinder? Nah. The ways in which Cleese maneuvers himself in the most bizarre ways into a situation that makes it seem like he is a megawomanizer, without even realizing it himself, remain fantastic. Kline has a fantastic double role and gets the opportunity to work wonderfully over the top, while Curtis mainly comes in as eye candy and gets away with it well.

At times very clumsy and not nearly as sharp as Cleese's work with Fawlty Towers/Monty Python was. Fortunately very funny.

Fierce creatures has to rely mainly on some strong/hilarious moments because as a whole the film suffers from a too messy scenario. Furthermore, it is all a bit too farcical for me and Kline mainly arouses irritation with his acting. Fortunately, there are still Palin, Curtis and Cleese save the movie with their strong performance. The latter in particular provides some great jokes and his perfect sense of timing for the highlights. Still fun but the feeling remains that there could have been more here (especially with this cast).
