"Give this boy enough rope and he'll land Marilyn Monroe!"
Rodeo champion Beauregard "Bo" Decker of Montana takes a bus to the rodeo with his older friend Virgil Blessing. Bo is looking for a woman's angel and he thinks he has found it in the saloon girl Cherie. He immediately wants to make her his bride. But Virgil doesn't think Cherie is good enough for Bo and she doesn't want to. Everything has to be arranged in restaurant Grace's Diner, where the bus makes a stop.
