Bowery Champs plot

"BAFFLING MYSTERY OF MURDER!"

Copyboy Muggs, annoyed that his superiors don't recognize his diamond-roughing qualities, investigates the high-profile murder of Tom Wilson. Ex-wife Gypsy Carmen is suspected. Muggs and his gang of friends believe she is innocent and take her under their wing. But their meddling leads newspaper boss Lester Cartwright to be falsely arrested for the murder, while soon-to-be-married reporter Jim Lindsay always seems to be a few steps behind. This includes Bobby Jordan, who is on leave from the army and wants to visit his friend.
