Funny movie. The film has a good score that was enough, especially the "leave my elevator alone" sect was great. Furthermore, father Webber is good and Alicia Silverstone looks good. Also the scene with Eve's ex in the disco where Adam is defending himself was hilarious. In short, I did enjoy myself.

Nice piece of childhood sentiment that brings back a lot of memories, including the few well-executed jokes. The idea behind this film is of course genius and that is nicely portrayed in the beginning. Unfortunately, the love-interest Silverstone then takes over the film more and more and that takes the lightness and humor out of the film.

Normally a 2.5*, but given the sentiment I'll leave it at 3*.

“Lying can be a very effective dating tool.”

Seen quite often and Blast from the Past remains fun. Given that a man has lived his whole life underground with his parents and now ends up in civilization, maybe something more could have been done. But it makes for funny situations, and there's a pleasant atmosphere all the time. Fraser is doing well, but it's Silverstone and Walken who provide the best moments. With excellent supporting roles from Spacek, Foley and Slotnick. Blast from the Past looks nice and it's all very feel good. Exactly what you expect.
