Volevo Nascondermi plot
Toni is the son of an Italian emigrant. After the death of his mother, he is adopted by a couple in German-speaking Switzerland. Due to his mental and physical ailments, he is sent against his will to Italy, where he lives for years in abject poverty on the banks of the Po, with no permanent residence. He occasionally finds work as a labourer, but remains true to his great passion for drawing.
