"All New Swashbuckling Adventure!"
1795: The French port of St. Malo groans under the English blockade. The brave naval lieutenant Surcouf manages to break through the blockade and from then on becomes the feared 'Freebooter of the Seven Seas'. He and his crew hijack ships in the service of the French Empress and reap the rewards for doing so. Only in this way does Surcouf stand a chance of marrying the beautiful Maria-Cristina, because her father only wants a wealthy man as a son-in-law.
