O Palhaço plot
Benjamin and his father Valdemar both work as clowns in a circus that roams the countryside of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil. As Puro Sangue and Pangare they make people laugh day in and day out. But Benjamin is filled with doubt: do people still laugh at him, does he really want this life? It bothers him that he barely knows 'real' life, he doesn't even have a passport or a social security number. He decides to say goodbye to the circus and sets off in search of who he is and what he wants from life. High on his wish list are living at a fixed address and especially finding the ideal woman. But that turns out not to be so easy… Meanwhile, after a storm, the circus has run into trouble.
