An old witch is burned at the stake, but before she dies, she casts a curse on the village. All the young women will hang themselves from the branches of an old tree. A century later, the witch's great-granddaughter returns to the village to spend her honeymoon at her great-grandmother's abandoned castle. However, the villagers fear that she is also a witch and condemn her to be burned at the stake. Maciste (Kirk Morris) tries to prove her innocence but must first go to hell to undo the witch's curse.
