In the heyday of the Cold War, Captain Marko Ramius (Sean Connery) heads for the American coast in his nuclear submarine Red October. All alarm bells go off with the Americans when it appears that Ramius has disregarded the orders of his superiors and he may want to start a war. Watched this submarine movie and it was quite a long movie. Unfortunately, not always that interesting, but towards the end it became exciting. Visually, the special effects were a bit dated, but luckily the cast still did well. Nice to have seen, but a second viewing will not immediately be for another.
