Among them is Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner), from the Outcome program, who is on the run with an associated scientist (Rachel Weisz).

An incoherent mess, both in terms of muddled plot and blurry dialogues. It ultimately serves as little more than a coat rack for all kinds of pursuits. Some nice action here and there and sometimes even a touch of tension but it has a much too shaky foundation. Norton is wasted effort, Weisz gets on the nerves rather than giving the story a human face (give me Franka Potente then) and Renner plays on autopilot. Quite a few loose ends further: all kinds of elements are randomly taken from the earlier parts without a satisfactory ending being given. At the end of the film you wonder what you've been watching: a long chase. So are the previous parts, but they contain more of a clear end goal.

The Bourne Legacy again a movie of the chases and the chases. Joking aside, this is refreshing with a different cast. Good action, but again much of the same.

I'm a big fan of the first three Bourne's and so - despite the considerably lower rating - was really looking forward to this one. How much worse could it be? Especially with a good cast. I also appreciate the concept that this partly parallels The Bourne Ultimatum. Unfortunately, this film lacks exactly what makes the other Bourne's so strong, which is that Bourne outsmarts his opponents and - thanks in part to great instincts - anticipates tremendously what may or will happen, and really takes you into it. is becoming. This is in contrast to Cross who, no one-knows-how, apparently knows where Shearing lives and drops in at just the right time. Those kinds of bits of missing information and unbelievable plot development is very disturbing in a movie that is part of a series that excels at getting everything right, no matter how bizarre the story is. In The Bourne Legacy, Renner just runs fast enough to stay ahead of everyone else. Until they lose sight of him and then the film ends quite abruptly after more than two hours. The action scenes are otherwise fine, but this is a thin cloth for the bleeding.
