A lot better for me than Nowhere to Run, released in the same year, Van Damme is good if he can fight a lot and often, but not if you put him in a drama movie with a touch of action.
This film was not only beautifully shot, but the bad guys were also convincing and complemented Van Damme perfectly.
Many slow motion scenes that have been filmed very tastefully, John Woo clearly puts his stamp on this and turns a dead simple story into an above average action film.

Wonderful mindless action film with JCVD in the lead role. The only downside I found was the amount of magazines that were used to take out opponents. Don't see the point in that.

Delightful over the top action movie, Jean-Claude is simply at his best in this little word but action haha. The story isn't much but that doesn't matter, the bullets, expos and brawls more than make up for it. And even though I've seen this more than 25 times, it's still a hit from the 90s that I can still enjoy as a teenager and now as a 40+
