Steve Rogers leads a new team of Avengers trying to protect humanity. Pfffrt.
The Marvel factory should really come to an end. Between all the reboots, sequels and crossovers, there is hardly anything meaningful to make of it. This should be the third part of Captain America, but I think I've seen more superheroes than in the two Avengers movies combined.
It has now become an ordinary soap opera. Everyone has a past with everyone, all problems are life-size and everything is treated with ridiculous seriousness. The plot of this film is too ridiculous for words, but still it is very difficult to watch and everyone is very depressed. Except for the comic relief moments of course.
It's that Marvel can just throw a lot of money here. Is also necessary, because there are so many characters (and therefore familiar faces) in it that they had to capture half Hollywood for this film. Action scenes also try to be great, although I found them a bit disappointing compared to a number of other Marvel films.
Furthermore, it easily takes 3 quarters of an hour too long, on the other hand I have to say that I am a bit easier to handle at home than in the cinema. The worst part is that this thing has brought in tons of money again, so I'm afraid this nonsense will not stop in the coming years. And you shouldn't think that Marvel will also set up a Spider-Man tree.

When Wanda Maximoff [Elizabeth Olson] kills several civilians in one incident in her attempt to save an Avenger, the UN intervenes. They want The Avengers to be under US control. Some of The Avengers see the need for this, but Captain America [Chris Evans] is convinced that they should be able to operate independently. Row! To fight! Yay! The franchise reaches the level of a WWF fight, in which superheroes attack each other only to please the viewers and where you already know in advance that it is in fact a lot of hot air. It makes for some entertaining stunt work, but not much more than that.
