Dec 21, 2012.......

Everyone has their own theories about it.

This flop attempts to paint a picture of the demise of the world.

It switches between various locations with different people.

Failed tornadoes, snow and hailstones the size of ping pong balls should signal the beginning of the end. :')

The biggest blunder in the field of the 2012 feature films and documentaries.

0.5 *

Ok, where to start categorizing this movie as (one of the) worst ever? There are probably other bad movies out there, but this is by far one of the worst I've seen so far.

The acting performances are beside the point. If our blond madam says something other than just 'ok, ok, ok...' we could apparently be content. Her fellow partner the photographer was still one of the better actors. Overacting or a lack of talent or a combination of both is unfortunately too present among the players. The script does not draw much, there is no depth at all in the dialogues.

I'd like to elaborate further, but I agree with the vast majority who say that the director just shouldn't be allowed to make movies anymore. The almost constant presence of the wrong music at the most wrong moments is another thorn in the side. Special effects are still available at times, but they are nothing to write home about either.

I tried to look at this film neutrally and have a good laugh with it (as I already saw it was number 1 on the flop 100), but my humorous attempts quickly turned into pure annoyance.

I know that liking is subjective, but people who really like this film and give it scores of 4 or 5, I don't think it's quite right...

Ah yes, finally: did that God-message and the incredible conversion of some players really have to be incorporated into the film? There is only one good 2012 movie and that is "2012" itself!

This isn't the end. It's just the beginning.

Been curious about this work for a while. Sometimes it's just nice to see something bad, like here at 2012 Doomsday. The only thing that's actually good is that it's "watchable". Unfortunately, it doesn't contain the humor I was looking for, like you have with Wood's films, for example. I did have a smile every now and then when the umpteenth storm came into view without a single hair or leaf moving, made very easy, people are stupid, but not that stupid. I didn't even mind the cast that much, it's mainly because of the incredibly ugly script, probably not a shot was done over, looked back or something. Story may be ridiculous, but said before, I wanted to watch it myself. Not a punishment, but fun to do once in a while.

Nice 0.5 star
