"Now my revenge is complete."

Good movie! A relief Dracula is talking again (which makes him much more threatening) after 3 minutes there is already tension! I do think the title is poorly chosen; Dracula was in the water and not in a grave. Hammer's actions are also sometimes a bit bawdy. Christopher Lee said in his interview that he only did the first two films with pleasure and the others with reluctance. However, the beautiful Gothic horror style can also be seen here.

Christopher Lee does a fantastic job again! I also thought Rupert Davies was very strong and the other actors didn't do too bad either. I also really liked Ewan Hooper's emotion.

James Bernard's music is also as good as ever, but has undergone a number of minor changes.

I have to say that I'm starting to get annoyed that in every movie Dracula comes to life and has to die again, and this always happens in the strangest ways. The fact that the priest's blood happens to be on the ice is a bit unrealistic. Not to mention the ending about the very clumsy death, he strangles a jackrabbit and suddenly falls over the railing on top of a cross. I think it would be better if an effort was made to get him back to the grave like in Dracula (1958). That death does produce a very nice picture at the end, which you can literally call Gothic Horror!

Good movie with a lot of atmosphere and some blood!

In the opening someone cycles to the church and places his bicycle in front of the door. The next shot the bike is gone. A mistake, I suspect. At least I had a good laugh about it.
The film gets going quickly, early on the first death is visible in the church bell . There will be another trip to Dracula's castle, where the thick fog creates an extra atmosphere. Due to a combination of circumstances, Dracula comes back to life and wants revenge. It provides sufficient tension and a dose of blood. The sequels are a lot more violent than Dracula from 1958 and the blood flows regularly. The pace is also a lot faster. The ending is good, partly thanks to the big cross.

Those Christopher Lee Dracula films are surely the highlights of production house Hammer. This one is also very nice. With that beautiful deep red blood. Count Dracula has risen from his grave again and now wants revenge on the bishop who once consecrated his castle. This time the opponent is from an atheist background. Nice part of the Dracula series.
