Great sequel in the Hammer Dracula series. I can agree with everything that has already been said on this forum. I thought this film had a great script with good performances. Christopher Lee is magnificent as the ever imposing Dracula hunting gorgeous women, in his most striking role in the series. A modest Jenny Hanley skips through the film with a blue cape over her body, which may well be a reference to the Virgin Mary as a Christian icon in times of darkness. The familiar elements for a good Dracula film are all present; a beautiful castle, an underdeveloped servant of Dracula, hostile natives, stretched cleavage. The bat act may seem laughable today, but for that time I certainly think it was done well. And to be honest, I also think one of the leading roles is reserved for the masterful music score by James Bernard, the perfect accompaniment to this film from start to finish, and so refined in every detail.

I had already seen Night Without Sleep and Don't Bother To Knock by director Roy Baker Ward, two brilliant film noirs that have nothing to do with the Hammer genre, but he has certainly skillfully portrayed this Scars of Dracula. This film is certainly not a weak brother in the series for me, quite the contrary.

Reasonable film in which the inhabitants of the nearby village set fire to Dracula's castle. Despite yet another story, it is ultimately more of the same. But the film is easy to watch. The role of Christopher Lee is also somewhat larger compared to the previous parts and there is also a bit more blood (which you can expect from a film about Dracula).

Christopher Lee once again took on the role of the iconic vampire for this weakly filled sequel, in which fortunately a number of beautiful location choices can still be ridiculed. Director Roy Ward Baker receives little support from the cast, because apart from Lee there are many charismaless and boring characters walking around here. The content also comes across as uninspired, but by this film it was clear that the film had run out of steam. Plus points for the beautiful environments and sometimes atmospheric decors, but in the end it is mainly the boredom that wins.
