"Against the Law...Against the Odds...Against the Land Itself"

Arch Deans (Gregory Peck) is a Scottish cowboy. Together with his half-Indian partner Billy Two Hats (Desi Arnaz Jr.), he robs banks. After a bank robbery, the two flee and an unusual friendship develops between them. Meanwhile, Sheriff Henry Gifford (Jack Warden) is determined to arrest or kill the pair.
