The lion Alex (Ben Stiller), the zebra Marty (Chris Rock), the giraffe Melman (David Schwimmer) and the hippo Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) are busy making their last attempt to get back to New York. They want to achieve this by joining a traveling circus. However, an animal catcher (Frances McDormand) walks around to make it difficult for the foursome.

This is a very nice animation film, the animations are beautiful and the humor is also nice.
The pace of the film also stays nice and that also looks nice.
An animation film that is fun for young and old.

The voice actors have gone along in the sequels anyway, there is clearly more money for a well-known name than animators who know their job. The film also doesn't rely on animation, but it does have jokes for children with occasional jokes for the elderly. Different location, same hassle.

They find shelter at a traveling circus where jaguar Gia [Jessica Chastain] welcomes them, but tiger Vitaly [Bryan Cranston] makes no secret of his suspicions and the clownish sea lion Stefano [Martin Short] takes care of it. more comic relief. The story is lousy but the new characters are a nice addition and there is more action than in the two garrulous predecessors. Frances McDormand is entertaining as the unyielding nemesis Chantal Dubois.
