Heritage of the Desert plot

Rancher Adam Naab controls a passage, which is the only way out of a valley. In this valley, Judson 'Judd' Holderness, the leader of a band of outlaws, hides a huge herd of stolen cattle. Naab won't allow Holderness to move this cattle across his territory. Holderness attempts to take possession of Naab's ranch by disputing his claim to a water source in order to starve him. But Naab hires Jack Hare, a surveyor from the East, to determine the exact perimeter of his land. Hare survives an assassination attempt in the desert by Lefty, an accomplice of Holderness. Judy, the adopted daughter of Naab's late business partner, falls in love with Hare when she was supposed to marry his son Snap Naab. The jealous Snap, who owes Holderness a lot of money after losing at poker, betrays his own father.
