A unique debut film from director Oliver Stone, who later became known for very different projects. Seizure is clearly his cheapest effort, and a filmmaker naturally has to dig deep to unleash the necessary creativity, but unfortunately, that doesn't quite pan out here. A truly chaotic interplay of undeveloped and uninteresting characters who are frequently incomprehensible and simply ramble on. Fortunately, Stone's camerawork is engaging and actively moves with the images, which is certainly essential when developing an imaginative idea. However, the concepts he chooses are rather ineffective. The acting is particularly poor and lacking in menace, to which Stone adds an eccentric design that largely fails to deliver. A disappointing debut from a talented director.
