"Work sucks."
Peter Gibbons decides to stop going to work after being hypnotized. This happens precisely when they are in the office looking for people to fire. When two of his best friends are eventually fired, they come up with a plan to embezzle a lot of money from the company.

Mike Judge. Beavis & Butthead. You find that hilarious. Because of the bone-dry, bland humor. Or very annoying. Because of the bone-dry, bland humor. So then you will also find a film by Mike Judge hilarious, or annoying. Because of the bone-dry, bland humor.
In that respect, Office Space is actually not that bad. As a result, unlike B&B, you can walk the golden mean here. An advantage is that you have ever worked in an office; that makes the matter a little easier to handle.
There is no shortage of great acting performances and one-liners here; especially Gary Cole as boss Bill Lumbergh never ceases to amaze with his seemingly effortless yuppie/businessman schtick. The soundtrack is also very well chosen; it's a bit in between fifties swing and gangsta rap. A little strange, but somehow striking.
Unfortunately, story-wise, the film cannot quite follow the acting performance; towards the end the humor takes a back seat and people are mainly busy tying up the loose ends.
Nevertheless, there is still some very nice comedy about it. It has to be said: you have to love it. If so, you've spent an hour and a half just fine.

Recommended. It is a pity that Livingston has meanwhile become too old and serious to (want to) debit this kind of laziness. The film is a cult classic among enthusiasts and nerds with a sense of humor. If not, skip. "Your name is really Michael Bolton?"...

Pretty funny and deliciously unsentimental, although the moment when the main character is rewarded with promotion by Bob & Bob for his indifference by Bob & Bob, the film crosses the line from realism to absurdism, and so towards the end the inspiration is a bit lost to make one. nice ending. Never mind, he remains entertaining right up to the last second, with a special mention to Peter's boss Bill Lumbergh ("Ah... yeah...") who even when he's in Peters nightmare Jennifer Aniston gives a fuck yet holds his coffee mug. A film that still gains stature in memory.
