The Gracie Allen Murder Case plot

"A DUMBELLE...who knew too much about MURDER!"

In a nightclub, Bill Brown is unwittingly involved in a murder and he is also the prime suspect. Coincidentally, the chaotic Gracie Allen was also around when the murder took place, but the police don't get much further with her incoherent testimony. Private detective Philo Vance offers the police to protect the witness Gracie from the killer, but this well-intentioned offer lands him in big trouble.
