L'Uomo Che Verrà plot
Winter, 1943. Martina, only daughter from a poor farming family, is 8 years old and lives on the slopes of Monte Sole. Years ago she lost a little brother, only a few days old, and she hasn't spoken since. Her mother becomes pregnant again and Martina waits for the baby to be born, as the war draws closer and life does not get any easier, sandwiched between Comandant Lupo's partisans and the advance of the Nazis. On the night of September 28 and 29, 1944, the baby finally sees the light of day. Almost simultaneously, the SS are conducting an unprecedented purge, which will go down in history as the Marzabotto massacre.
