Skin plot
Sandra Laing grew up in South Africa, divided by apartheid. She was born in the 1950s as the black child of two white Afrikaners, who did not know that they had black ancestors. They raise her as their 'white' daughter, but when she is ten, Sandra is kicked out of the white community. The film follows her thirty-year struggle to conquer her own place in a changing world.
