Charlie Chan's sons are in San Francisco on a ship ready to leave for Hawaii. As the incomparable investigator awaits the birth of his first grandchild, his own sons try to walk in their father's shoes by solving a murder mystery committed on the ship. But when a second victim is found, it's up to Charlie Chan himself to get on board to try and solve these murder cases.
