“Remember, tomorrow is promised to no one.”

Decent movie by Clint Eastwood. I've read David Baldacci's book, and Eastwood has changed quite a few things. The main character from the book is just completely omitted, which is remarkable. The start is strong and Eastwood has the right tone, but after the murder it becomes a very long cat-and-mouse game between Eastwood and the police/Secret Service. Of the actors (many famous faces), Ed Harris and Scott Glenn stand out. Decent, but Eastwood can do better and Baldacci's exciting story deserves better.

Good film about a master thief who witnesses a murder during a burglary. An entertaining plot for this fine, and now somewhat old-fashioned looking, action thriller with a number of well-constructed scenes (such as the long opening and the scene on the square). The actors (purely known names) are all well cast.

Unlike some of Eastwood's other films, I found this one to be one of the better ones. An interesting story that managed to keep a fairly constant suspense. A little too improbable and predictable here and there, but that certainly didn't detract from the whole. A fairly luxurious cast that did a great job. All in all, a fascinating film that, despite its two hours, didn't last too long. Remarkable that Eastwood also contributed to some songs for this film including the beautiful Kate's Theme / End Credits - YouTube during the credits.
