Sweethearts plot
"America's Singing Sweethearts are Sweethearts!"
Ernest and Gwen are lovers and a duo in musical comedies in the theater. They get a contract to make movies together in Hollywood, but they don't sign because Gwen thinks Ernest has a relationship with his assistant. Separately, they play in musicals until they are finally reunited for a Broadway show.
