Rambo plot
"Live for nothing, or die for something."
Vietnam veteran John Rambo has been living a secluded lifestyle in Bangkok for quite some time now. One day he is hired by a group of Christian missionaries to transport them by boat to Burma. Not much later, the village where the missionaries carry out their humanitarian mission is attacked. Rambo learns this when he is hired by the same Christian movement to bring a group of mercenaries to the point where he left them in Burma. He and the team search for the missing missionaries.

Great resurrection of Rambo.
The film contains everything you expect from a film with our tough veteran.
Beautiful atmospheric locations with tightly coordinated action moments.
And that action is from the top shelf this time, just say the shelf is on the roof so high

First Blood was part psychological drama with a Vietnam veteran who comes back to America and is lost. He has had a life full of violence and that sticks. That caused incomprehension when he came home and if you then encounter a sheriff who does not see a veteran in him, but an outsider who does not fit into the picture, it becomes difficult to find your place again.
In the meantime, we have gone a few films and Rambo has mainly become a traumatized hero who seems to have the setback in every film that he encounters a gang or regime with which he gets into a quarrel. No more background for Rambo in this 4th movie again. We get a somewhat obligatory intro with characters that you can't break apart. Except Julie Benz because she's the only woman in the party. Things get a little interesting when Stallone lays the trump card and throws everything into the violent scenes. Under the motto 'may it be a little more'. Fortunately, the film was not made child-friendly so that it can go full out.
The film has nothing more to offer than Rambo, who practically single-handedly tackles an entire regime. If you're into that, that's definitely your movie. And some nostalgia for the older Rambo films, especially Rambo III.

Rewatched today, together with part 2, this is surely the best of the Rambo series.
Beautiful location back in nature, plenty of action and violence and the film is also much bloodier than the other Rambo films, limbs flew in all directions
Also a lot of blood which we normally didn't see in other Rambo movies, especially the ending scene is great!
The only bad thing was that the final boss, (the leader) died very quickly, I would have preferred a 1 on 1 fight with Rambo and the final boss
Too bad the film only lasts about 80 minutes, could have been a bit longer like a nice final fight...
