Marcello Mastroianni: Mi Ricordo, Sì, Io Mi Ricordo plot
In 1996, while shooting what would become Mastroianni's last film, Voyage au Debut du Monde by the Portuguese De Oliveira, Mastroianni speaks to his then companion Tatò about his life as an actor in a philosophical and humorous memoir. Among other things, he discusses his childhood, the art of acting, his first introduction to film, his relationship with directors such as Vittorio De Sica, Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti, his disdain for his reputation as a "Latin Lover" and his favorite cities: New York, Paris, Rome and above all Naples. Regularly cited films include such classics as Una Giornata Particolare, La Dolce Vita, 8 1/2 and La Grande Bouffe.
