Al Shaw's life consists of car races and his messy estate, called "Smash Palace". His French wife, Jacqui, doesn't like all of Al's attention to cars. When he sees her with another man, he grabs his daughter, Georgie, and leaves with her, hoping to stay with his only family.

I can confirm that, brucecampbell. Much better than I had expected, too, and in a completely different genre; the artwork led me to expect more of a dystopian vision of the future. So I went into it blind.
But what I received looks stunning and captivated me from start to finish. No one seemed even remotely familiar to me; the route this story would take turned out to be entirely unpredictable. But I think that was largely because I was still thinking in completely the wrong direction.
In any case, a gem of a family drama that is brilliantly acted and takes place in a captivating location. Lovers become polar opposites in a conflict that simply cannot have a happy ending. I empathized and was glued to my screen.
