I'll Sleep When I'm Dead plot
Will Graham is a mobster who has had enough of crime. He decides to settle in the countryside. When his brother, who is also not averse to criminal affairs, commits suicide, Will returns to the city he had left behind three years ago. He sets out to find out why his brother committed suicide.

The word "boring" is often used here, but luckily it didn't bother me – maybe I didn't go into this film with the wrong expectations. Not everything is pre-chewed or clarified through dialogue, which argues in favor of the film, and with Clive Owen and Charlotte Rampling you also have people in the house who can tell a lot with their eyes, although that vagueness often turns out to be a stumbling block with other users to be experienced. I thought that style was successful, but the cliché of the plot development and the over-familiarity of the (gloomy) gangster world seriously detract from the impact for me. All in all a good pass, and the presence of Malcolm McDowell is still a treat.

Reasonably atmospheric, this film mainly focuses on realistic images. Well acted by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. But very little actually happens, so don't expect an action film but rather a drama.
