"The mad story of a true man."
True story about Samuel Bicke, a man who feels completely misunderstood in what he believes to be a hypocritical society based on lies and dishonesty. Bicke is unable to adapt to daily life, both professionally and in his relationships, and becomes increasingly estranged from reality. He directs his frustrations on Nixon, the leader of the country, who, according to Bicke, is denying him his piece of American Dream.

Excellent film about a loner with the necessary problems in his life. Film certainly has similarities with Taxi Driver. As a viewer you can put yourself in the position of the main character very well, since you experience everything from his point of view. The film is also definitely taken to the next level by Sean Penn who plays an unparalleled role here and you can just tell he is a ticking time bomb.

Gosh, it wasn't a bad movie, although the movie could have had a little more spice/speed. This also has to do with the fact that Sean Penn played his part very convincingly and the main character just didn't appeal to me. I expected a bigger role from Naomi Watts, but she didn't do a bad job as usual.
In short, nothing but praise for the acting, although I think it is a film that you should not have seen. The title may make you think it will be an exciting movie, but make no mistake, the movie definitely falls under drama, only the last fifteen minutes gets more exciting.
One to pick up when they show it on TV.

Not the nail biter, which I more or less expected beforehand. In fact, the film is about the character development of a man who, due to his lack of social skills, becomes increasingly isolated and blames society for it. The main merit of the film is the beautiful acting of Sean Penn, to whom you can entrust such a role. Although inspired by true events, the story didn't make me feel warm or cold, because it tends to get repetitive on a regular basis.
