Great action, great entertainment. Realistic or not, I thought this was one of Eastwood's better action films. Action that immediately started with the chase of the truck. Great story, great quotes and a good cast. The whole thing was captivating and at times even comical. My only regret was that almost the entire film was set in the dark.

The Rookie is an action film that, like many action films from that period, is full of heavy violence and spectacular stunts, but lightens the heavy impact with humorous fillings. In that respect, the film follows in the footsteps of contemporaries and contemporaries such as Lethal Weapon or Die Hard.
The film was directed by Clint Eastwood. He also co-stars with Charlie Sheen. The rookie is a pleasant film that unfortunately runs a bit too long and lacks direction here and there. He must accept and disarm his demons to become stronger. In Eastwood, of course, he finds a fine example of someone who is a master of this. Eastwood has his own traumas that he has worked through to the best of his ability and that have strengthened him. Nice role again from Eastwood. Cynical, irresponsible, hard-hitting and armed with witty one-liners, he moves through the film.
The Rookie is a hard action film in which dark figures with exotic accents use a lot of gun violence. A film in which countless cars end up on the scrap heap and spectacular stunts can be seen. A film in which Eastwood and Sheen play a pleasant duo. A film in which the beautiful Sonia Braga and Raul Julia play bizarre antagonists and are very bluntly malicious.
You hear it already. The Rookie is just an entertaining movie.
