1897. Priscilla Williams goes with her mother to India, where her English grandfather is stationed as an officer. However, it turns out to be a gruff man who can only deal with soldiers. To get more attention from him, she has a sergeant train her to become Soldier Winkie, after the nursery rhyme Wee Willie Winkie.
