In 1953 Alfred Kinsey, after a very extensive research, published a report on the sexuality of Americans. The bottom line: Americans have a lot of sex, love sex, before or after marriage, with multiple partners, toys, themselves, etcetera. America was deeply shocked and the establishment tried to discredit him. Nevertheless, Kinsey managed to open a barrel of frustration and brought the theme of sexuality into the open forever.

Excellent film about the biologist Alfred Kinsey who studies the sexual life of humans. And this research is a purely scientific approach at a time when just about anything to do with sex is taboo and ignorant. An interesting biopic with captivating dialogues. The acting by a cast with quite a few well-known names is also excellent.

About how someone, after years of studying gall wasps, focuses on the sexual life of the American and publishes two scientific bestsellers about it. That's what this biopic is about, which tells the life of Alfred Kinsey. I found it quite interesting how it all went back then. It is also mind-boggling and astonishing to hear what views there were about sexuality. I've never been so heartbroken by Liam Neeson and he doesn't take this movie to a really higher level. It's more the subject matter that makes the film get a solid 3.5 stars.
