Unbelievable? I love it! But Double Jeopardy takes the cake in this, and therefore goes terribly wrong in the beginning of the film.

Because what does Libby do when she finds out that her husband is still alive, so she can be released immediately and see her son again? Here's a list of what she *doesn't* do:

- call her lawyer
- call the police
- call parents/friends

This while she has the address (!) and telephone number (!) of her presumed dead husband. She herself always manages to find out within 3.34 seconds where her husband now lives, so other people should be able to do that too. Don't her parents want to see their grandson anymore? Isn't the cop friend from the beginning of the movie someone you could send there? Does her friend who now lives with her husband not have family/friends who say; hey, your friend is that murdered dude, what is he doing here alive?

I was annoyed by this for another hour and a half, so that Double Jeopardy never became the exciting thriller that others see in it.

1.5* for Mrs Judd who plays nicely.

Double Jeopardy without Jeopardy.

Movie never wants to get really exciting. Somehow it is all very predictable and you know in advance how a scene will end. Like, for example, the setup of the burying alive . A lot has already been given away in advance. It's a shame, because this way the film can't distinguish itself from the rest of the films in this genre that work much better in terms of design. Every now and then a good scene somewhere in between and the good playing of Judd and Greenwood and even Jones on the autopilot saved this movie from total ruin.

Weird those low scores. Very entertaining film that never lost my interest. I think I've seen this one before. Still a top film in this genre. Also great film music and some lovely scenes. Even the tad of drama is not lacking. You can say cliché and blablabla but then I ask myself the question of would you rather see it differently? In that respect I think the film feel good and it has a perfect ending.

Judd plays phenomenal and very believable. Tommy Lee Jones has a good chemistry with her as he works against her at first and in the end sees that she might be right. The plot holes that many are complaining about here are pretty explainable . Her husband had money enough to fake his own death. It may not be a masterpiece that it made me emotional, but I did empathize with the mother. I'm not very good at injustice.
