Reasonable film with an original story, although the elaboration is not always funny. Despite the fact that the story is quite nicely made up, it somehow doesn't quite go smoothly with the film. Stiller and Black seems like a nice combination on paper, but it doesn't quite work out here. The jokes are usually bland and don't always come through well. Also, the movie is very slow, which doesn't really add to the entertainment this time around. Very nice is the supporting role of Christopher Walken as a hobo, who is always top in these kinds of roles. Entertaining film with unfortunately just too few funny moments.

Despite the low score here, 'Envy' seemed to me to be a very nice film. He may not have been all that great, but my expectations have come true. Jack Black is doing a fantastic job, always been a fun comedian. Ben Stiller : never actually seen in any other role than the 'little bitch who always gets beat up or fired' and here too he (obviously) played a sucker, but he also did a great job, this kind of role of his often gets quite annoying in some movies, but here it was still enjoyable. The jokes were at times very nice, the scenes were very entertaining and the role of Christopher Walken is certainly not a minus point for the film.

I agree with tommy rabbit. Jack Black and Ben Stiller are 2 good actors so that should actually work out. Black does a good job too, but I actually thought Stiller was pretty bad in this movie. Normally it's a lot better. He looked a bit strange here too I thought, maybe his haircut? 
The story of the film is not much special, but a lot can be learned from it. Unfortunately, not much is taken from the basis of the subject, but the film is still mostly about the horse. The ending was decent.
