Malibu Road plot
"A trip to the other side of Paradise"
Dr. Raymond Forrester, a psychology professor at UCLA, takes college student and Hollywood star Dorothy Crowder to a Malibu hotel of dubious repute. The two ingest LSD, sent to Forrester in a mysterious package, and become among the first Americans to experience a psychedelic experience. The experience takes a deadly turn on New Year's Eve 1960, and the duo must rediscover reality or be trapped in an endless cycle of sex, drugs and murder in "paradise."
