Stranizza d'Amuri plot

June 1982, Sicily. While the Italians dream of winning the World Cup, two teenagers dream of living their love story without fear. Seventeen-year-old Gianni is bullied because of his homosexuality, but his life changes when he accidentally meets Nino, an endearing and innocent boy. The close friendship they develop will shamelessly turn into love when they work together for Nino's father, who shoots fireworks. When their bond is discovered by their families, the consequences are as violent as times and mores are conservative.
