Diary plot

Shot over a 10-year period (1973-1983). Diary is not only a portrait of Perlov's political, professional and personal work, but also a testimony to the turbulent reality of war-torn Israel. In six parts, Perlov travels to Tel Aviv, Paris, London and finally Brazil, where he was born. The film is also a family diary, with Perlov filming his growing daughters, Yael and Naomi. During this period he meets and films famous people such as Claude Lanzmann, Isaac Stern, Joris Ivens, Andre Schwartz-Bart, Irving Howe and Klaus Kinski.
