Au Bout des Doigts plot
20-year-old Mathieu Malinski is a pianist, but he keeps his love for music a secret from those around him. He watches over his little brother David and helps his mother who has to divide her time between different jobs since his father abandoned them. When Mathieu comes into contact with the police, he gets help from Pierre, the head of the conservatory. In return Mathieu has to perform some tasks at the conservatory. However, Pierre quickly sees how talented Mathieu is. The latter herself falls in love with the cellist Anna and takes lessons with the so-called 'Countess'.
