"Let the mystery unfold."
Young Clara receives a doll in the shape of a nutcracker from her godfather Drosselmeyer on Christmas Eve. When the girl goes to look at it at twelve o'clock, she finds herself in a magical world in which a war is raging between gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. She sets out on a quest in the Land of Snowflakes, the Land of Flowers and the Land of Sweets, where she meets the Sugar Plum Fairy. The Fourth Reich is then again ruled with a heavy hand by Mother Ginger, against whom Clara will have to compete.
