Hagane no Renkinjutsushi plot
When Edward Elric (Ryôsuke Yamada) and his younger brother Alphonse were little, their mother died. The brothers attempt to revive their mother and perform a human transmutation that is taboo in alchemy. However, their attempt fails and as a result Edward loses part of his body and Alphonse loses all of his body. Edward sacrifices another part of his body to attach Alphonse's soul to an armor. Edward becomes an alchemist and sets out on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone who has the power to get back what they have lost.
