Less part of the series. The story is secondary and unsurprising. The effect is nice, but way over the top. Now that was the case in previous parts, but this time it goes so far that it starts to get disturbing. Jan and everyone are also involved again, making it a case of 'excess harm'. Other than that it remains entertaining pulp with a lot of action and the film flies by. 3.0

Typical film where you shouldn't take the content too seriously. What's left is a great movie. Actors that shine and action like never seen before in this franchise. Have entertained me immensely.

The eighth part already. Normally I revise all previous parts but since the series has changed so much it didn't seem necessary to me.
The previous part seemed to mock all the laws of nature, so I was curious what they came up with next.
The film largely revolves around Dom being blackmailed by a shrewd woman, played by Charlize Theron.
This storyline never becomes very believable because Dom shows completely different behavior in the seven previous parts than he shows here. Certain choices his character makes don't make sense.
Despite the simple story and the exaggerated action scenes, it somehow keeps me entertained. The Rock and Statham who are arguing like a couple of women is just laughing and the cast with all familiar faces is also fine.
You know what you get when you put on a movie from this series. Just enough for me.
