It isn't long before Miles is attacked, including by versions of himself coming from the future. Okay at that reference to that meme I had to laugh out loud.

Part 1 of this series was a very nice surprise. This sequel continues reasonably well, but is ultimately too long and especially tedious at times. The first hour is mainly build-up, but, although well done and a nice piece of film. will eventually take its revenge in this case in the sequel. The action scenes sometimes take just a little too long and it's all too wild to be really great. And to be honest, I don't find Morales very interesting, a bit colorless as a main character, although he is not as annoying as Andrew Garfield. In that respect, Gwen Stacy is much more fun and those first 20 minutes are therefore the best.

But other than that, this is still a great movie. Cool and sometimes beautiful animation, beautiful design, a very cool soundtrack (that nice song by James Blake doesn't seem to be released until June 2), really processed the comic feeling, good action, often enough a strong pace and often a lot of humor. And yes, the atmosphere in the first hour is really well done. Really enjoying 140 minutes in the cinema chair, even though it is 20 minutes too many.

Gwen [Hailee Steinfeld] is the target of a search led by her own father [Shea Whigham], as she is believed to be responsible for the death of Peter Parker as a Spider-Woman. Miles Morales [Shameik Moore] tries to save New York from super villain Spot [Jason Schwartzman]. I didn't get much more of the story of this sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse because I was quickly beaten down by the extremely screamy animation and ditto soundtrack. The barrage of terrible jokes and puns is just as irritating. I think I sat in the movie theater with my eyes closed for half of the running time. Not that I missed anything, by the way, because this appears to be only intended as a run-up to part 3. I can't say for sure whether this will be the worst sequel of all time for a long time. Hot air of the worst kind and a real exhaustion for the eyes and ears. But I survived him! Now part 3...
