"The Most Loved of All Love Stories!"
France, 1640. Cyrano, the charismatic poet with the absurdly large nose, is hopelessly in love with the beautiful Roxanne. She, in turn, tells Cyrano in confidence her love for the beautiful but shy Christian. Cyrano decides to help Christian by writing love letters to Roxanne on his behalf, ultimately with a tragic ending.

Very theatrical and poetic, something I am not always charmed by. The character Cyrano is also an incredibly self-absorbed and conceited person in the beginning that takes some getting used to, except when it comes to love, then he is suddenly insecure and doubtful.
The story is of course an over the top romantic tale but it still has its charm.
