Supernatural plot

Supernatural is about the Winchester brothers who fight supernatural evil. They take over the task of their father John, who started this to avenge the death of his wife. Thanks to their father, Sam and Dean grow up as demon hunters. In each episode, Dean and Sam solve a mystery by dealing with a supernatural adversary. Mysteries usually revolve around evil spirits, but vampires, werewolves and other demons must also be defeated.

Een hele verbetering na twee matige seizoenen. Het lijkt erop dat de schrijvers weer snappen welke elementen Supernatural sterk maken en welke niet. Een terugkerende locatie in dit seizoen vond ik een leuke toevoeging, hopelijk gaan we daar meer van zien. De sterkste verbetering was het doorlopende verhaal in dit seizoen. Veel interessanter dan dat geneuzel met Dick Roman en zijn Leviathans. Wel was dit, net als seizoen 5, wederom een verhaal dat ze hadden kunnen gebruiken als einde van de complete serie. Benieuwd wanneer ze nou eens aankondigen een goed slot te gaan schrijven.

A big improvement after two mediocre seasons. It seems the writers are understanding again which elements make Supernatural strong and which do not. I thought a recurring location in this season was a nice addition, hopefully we will see more of that. The biggest improvement was the ongoing story in this season. Much more interesting than that posturing with Dick Roman and his Leviathans.

However, like season 5, this was again a story that they could have used as the end of the complete series. Curious when they will announce that they will write a good ending.
