Cruel Summer plot

The series takes place over three summers in '93, '94 and '95 in a small Texas town. Kate, a beautiful and popular teenager goes missing. Not long after, an apparently unrelated girl transforms from a sweet and awkward outcast to the most popular girl in town, eventually growing into the most despised person in America.

This season is so much less than the first season. Despite the fact that the concept has been done before (season 1), the story in this season is also not fascinating. In addition, the characters are not interesting and the denouement can be called bland. It should all probably come as a surprise, but I never caught myself having an "oh, what a great twist" moment. No, this series is finished... Actually after one season, so please no further sequels.
