Aberystwyth, a place of beauty. A thriving university town, situated on the west coast of Wales, between the Irish and the hilly hinterland, filled with small, close-knit villages and the occasional farm. Worlds and traditions that are doomed to collide as soon as they come into contact. Communities that live by their own rules, with their own secrets as a result. Secrets that hide behind a wall of innocence. This is the world that Inspector Tom Mathias enters. Leaving a turbulent life in bustling London behind, he tries to make a fresh start in Aberystwyth.
