After seeing the first episode, it stayed on the 'shelf' for a while. Why I don't remember exactly. I think because the developments went very fast (from Chicago to the Ozark area) and because it is yet another series or movie about an average man who ends up in criminal shit, so I didn't feel like it .
Nevertheless, I had picked up the thread again and I do not regret it for a moment. Wonderful series... Especially the (subtle) black humor, the ominous score/music and the supporting roles. It's not too believable of course, but I rushed through all the episodes; the build-up throughout the episodes is very tight.
A nice mix of crime, suspense and humor, with the last episode as the pinnacle. Really enjoyed every minute of that ending. Nice camera work also when Don is with Snell, with a rather long take when he is shot. It's always fun when bad guys meet bad guys.
PS nice job: no opening theme music, but the letter O at the beginning of each episode with four symbols of what follows in the episode.

I watched this at an unexpected speed. What a story moving forward! Didn't feel like watching for a year because it all seemed a bit too chewed up, done too often. And it actually is, but the plot is so well put together, it never gets boring, the screenwriters always know something to surprise you somewhere. Combine that with a wonderful atmosphere (do I recognize twilight?), a very strong Bateman in the casting of his life and Laura Linney who plays a very strong character, well... Then this series gets a 4*. Maybe more later. Need to let it sink in

Great series, clearly modeled after Breaking Bad. The highly developed characters and the first-class dialogues ensure that the similarities with that series are not too disturbing. In terms of plot lines not equally believable, but everything is compelling and exciting enough to condone this.
